Both of these jigs appear in O’Neill’s Dance Music of Ireland I don’t know much about the background of the tunes but their origins are likely English. I love playing jigs and especially the older ones of a more gentle, lyrical nature. I am not much of music reader and thus I usually find it hard to get a feel for tunes out of a book but I fell in love with these two straight away.

Absolutely sensational - love the generally low-end tones and planxty-esque set up, but most of all the incredible energy of it! Wish more instrumental trad was like this, love the fact that it's recorded live too. Prangman
